Choosing the right vehicle for your family's Umrah journey — passenger capacity, luggage space, comfort in Saudi summer, and cost.
1–3 passengers: Sedan
A Camry or Sonata is ideal for a couple or a solo pilgrim. Room for 2–3 large suitcases in the boot, strong AC, and the most economical option for airport transfers.
4–6 passengers: SUV (Innova, GMC, Hyundai Staria)
Best all-round choice for families. Space for luggage plus Zamzam containers, higher ground clearance for comfort on longer drives to Madinah, and easier for elderly parents to get in and out.
7–11 passengers: Hiace / Coaster van
Extended families and small groups. Big luggage bay under the rear seats, individual reading lights, and much cheaper per person than two separate cars.
Executive travel: Luxury SUV
GMC Yukon, Chevrolet Suburban and similar. Leather seats, premium AC and privacy — worth it for VIP guests, honeymoon Umrah, or business travellers combining a KSA trip with a short pilgrimage.
